Athena Litis - Director and Founder

Athena Litis is an accomplished musician, educator and wellbeing leader who believes that music belongs to everyone. She is the founder and director of Music At Work, an organisation that was founded to help create happier and healthier workplaces through the inclusion of music programs.

She graduated from the University of Western Australia with a Bachelor of Music Education, and also holds an Associate Diploma in Piano (A.MusA). She recently returned to UWA to undertake postgraduate studies and hopes to complete these in the future.

Athena has completed all secondary levels of the Australian Kodály Certificate after studying in Brisbane and is passionate about creating exceptional programs which are heavily based on the Kodály concept.

She has spent the majority of her career in secondary schools both as a music teacher and Director of Music. Her experience ranges from teaching classroom music from Kindergarten to Year 12 to directing choirs, string orchestras, and rock bands.

Athena has a fond love of piano teaching and is also an experienced piano accompanist. She has enjoyed singing in the WASO chorus and continues to perform at both corporate and private functions around Perth as a pianist and vocalist.

Athena is a proud ambassador of Happiness Co and is committed to helping people work towards becoming the best versions of themselves. She enjoys facilitating workshops and presentations in the wellbeing space whilst also participating in programs that foster her own personal growth and wellbeing.

Jeremias Sosa - Guitar & Ukulele Tutor

Jeremias (Jere) has been playing Guitar for over 18 years and studied Jazz at the Western Australia Academy of Performing Arts. 

With a broad knowledge of theory, live performance, audio production and contemporary/world music he moved to Australia in 2014 from Argentina after finishing a Bachelor in Sound Designing.

 Jeremias uses his influences of world music and experience in teaching students of all ages and all levels to offer a unique approach to teaching; focusing on hands-on learning to maximise student enjoyment.

 Jeremias is the program coordinator at Player 1, Perth where he has extensive experience teaching groups, especially band programs and people with a disability. He also facilitates the adult singing group and helps out with the management of the school.

His musical approach is founded upon the melodic songwriting of The Beatles and the guitar playing finesse of Carlos Santana, with punk, jazz and Latin feels within the living-breathing mix. Jeremias performs with his band and collaborates with other Perth musicians while retaining a solid and continuing existence as a soloist. His song A Taste Of Honey, won the ‘World’ category at the WAM Song Of The Year Awards in mid-2017.
